The service

ChooseScreen provides browser-based color screens, display utilities, screensavers, downloadable color images, creative screen effects, and update- or error-style visual simulations.

You may use ChooseScreen for lawful personal or commercial purposes such as display testing, lighting, focus, presentations, visual backgrounds, downloaded color images, creative projects, and lighthearted entertainment.

Screen effects and update simulations

System-style, typer, error-themed, and update-themed screens are visual simulations designed for demonstrations, creative projects, and lighthearted entertainment.

Do not use simulated screens to impersonate another person or organization, obtain information, interfere with work or services, cause distress, create a safety risk, mislead someone into paying money, or support fraud or other unlawful conduct.

Prohibited conduct

Do not damage, disrupt, overload, scrape, probe, reverse engineer, bypass protections, introduce malicious code, or attempt unauthorized access to ChooseScreen or related systems.

Do not use the service in a way that infringes intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights, or that violates applicable law.

Downloads and display accuracy

Downloaded color images are generated from the values selected in your browser. Actual appearance may vary because of monitor calibration, display technology, browser behavior, color profiles, ambient light, and device settings.

ChooseScreen should not be relied on for safety-critical, medical, scientific, legal, or professional color decisions without appropriate independent equipment and verification.

Intellectual property

The ChooseScreen website, branding, original design, text, and code are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership of the service or its content.

You retain responsibility for materials you independently create or download using the tools, subject to any rights belonging to others.

Except where a feature or these terms specifically permit it, you may not reproduce, republish, redistribute, sell, rent, sublicense, frame, or commercially exploit ChooseScreen branding, original content, design, or source code without prior written permission.

Feedback and submissions

Feedback, suggestions, and bug reports are voluntary and should not include passwords, confidential information, or material you do not have permission to share.
