Information we collect

You can use the core screen tools without creating an account or directly providing your name, address, or payment information.

Like most websites, our hosting provider and web server may automatically receive technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, requested page, referring page, and the date and time of your visit. This information is used for security, reliability, and basic traffic analysis.

Information stored on your device

ChooseScreen may use browser storage to remember settings such as color choices, resolution preferences, or other display options.

Solid-color PNG files are generated locally in your browser. ChooseScreen does not receive or store the generated image unless you separately choose to share it with us.

Cookies and similar technologies

ChooseScreen and its service providers may use cookies, local storage, pixels, web beacons, and similar technologies. These technologies can remember preferences, operate and secure the site, prevent abuse, measure performance, limit repeated ads, and support personalized or non-personalized advertising.

Cookies may be set by ChooseScreen or by third parties whose services appear on the site. You can control or delete cookies and local storage through your browser settings, although blocking them may affect some site features.

Google advertising

Google is a third-party advertising provider for ChooseScreen. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a visitor's prior visits to ChooseScreen or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads based on visits to ChooseScreen and other sites on the Internet.

When Google advertising services load, Google may receive information directly from your browser, including your IP address, browser and device details, pages visited, referring information, approximate location derived from an IP address, ad interactions, and cookie or advertising identifier data. Google may use this information to deliver and measure ads, limit repeated advertisements, detect invalid activity, prevent fraud, and personalize advertising where permitted.

Google advertising cookies, DoubleClick, and DART

Google advertising technologies may use cookies associated with DoubleClick-branded services, sometimes described in older privacy materials as DoubleClick or DART cookies. Advertising technologies and cookie names can change, but their purposes may include selecting ads, measuring campaign performance, limiting repeated ads, and detecting invalid traffic.

Consent and regional privacy choices

Where applicable law or Google policy requires consent, ChooseScreen will request consent before advertising cookies or other local storage are used and before personal data is collected, shared, or used for personalized advertising. A consent message may allow you to accept, reject, or manage advertising purposes and providers.

Before personalized Google ads are served to users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, ChooseScreen must use a Google-certified consent management platform that supports the required consent framework. The consent controls must also provide a way to change or withdraw a choice.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of personal information, or to object to or opt out of certain advertising-related processing. Requests can be submitted through the Contact us page, and identity or location information may be needed to evaluate a request.

Other advertising vendors and third-party services

Google may work with advertising partners, and other third-party vendors or ad networks may be enabled on ChooseScreen. Those providers may use their own cookies or similar technologies under their own privacy policies. Where required, the consent message will identify available providers and purposes.

You can review Google's commonly used ad technology providers. External links and services are governed by their own privacy practices, and ChooseScreen does not control their technologies or policies.

How information is used

Information may be used to operate and improve the website, diagnose errors, understand usage, protect the service and its users, prevent misuse, respond to requests, and comply with legal obligations.

ChooseScreen does not sell information you directly provide in exchange for money. Some privacy laws may define advertising-related disclosures as a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising even when no money changes hands. Where applicable, you may use the available consent or privacy controls, or contact us, to exercise an opt-out right.

Data retention and security

Technical records are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for operation, security, troubleshooting, analytics, or legal requirements.

Google and other third-party providers determine their own retention periods under their policies. ChooseScreen does not control how long those providers retain information.

Reasonable safeguards are used to protect information, but no internet service or storage method can guarantee complete security.

Children's privacy

ChooseScreen is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.

Your choices

You can manage Google personalized advertising through My Ad Center. You may also opt out of some participating third-party vendors through YourAdChoices. These controls are operated by third parties.

You can also clear browser storage, block cookies, use browser privacy features, and use any consent or privacy controls displayed on ChooseScreen. Browser-level blocking may affect site features and does not remove information already held by a third party.

Policy changes

This policy may be updated when the service, applicable requirements, or our practices change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised last-updated date.
